RELEASED FEBRUARY 20th 2026, TRUTH IS KING IS THE LATEST OFFERING FROM BLUENOSE B, AND CAN BE DESCRIBED AS HIS NEW-OLD ALBUM

THE TRACK: Truth is King came to Stephen in a dazzling moment of creativity as the was driving to the studio to add the finishing touches to what he thought would be his new album. Inspired or disgusted in equal measure by hearing the news that Donald Trump had granted a pardon to a convicted criminal with apparent links to the president, Truth is King came tumbling out, was recorded the same day and linked his revisiting of the past to the present day.

THE ALBUM: In addition to the title track, the album is a creative revisiting of ‘American Gigolo’, the Bluenose B album released by the then 4-piece band in 1990 on Liverpool label Audio Visual and distributed by the legendary Probe Plus label. The intervening years have seen developments to both Stephen’s musical vision and studio experience, allowing him to produce what he hoped to achieve at the time of the original recording – the addition of ‘The Light Diminished’ a track written at the time but left in the studio as the band were unable to match how its writer wished it to be – but now realised and included here along with the single version of ‘She’ll Do For Me’. Led by the title track, the remainder of the album follows the track listing of the previous release.

THE VIDEO: Released to coincide with the single and album, the visualisation of the title track continues Stephen’s exploration of the opportunities that Artificial Intelligence offers to creatives in representing their work in additional media, where AI is an addition to the artist’s palette rather than a replacement, with the inspiration being all his.

THE GIG: To celebrate the launch of the album, a version of the Bluenose B band has been assembled, combining members of the original group with current sideman John Kettle, all with the intention of revisiting the album tracks in their new incarnation – plus Truth Is King.
